
Prof. Jianmin XU holds prominent leadership and academic positions in the field of colorectal surgery and oncology in China. He serves as the Director of the Colorectal Cancer Center and Department of Colorectal Surgery at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, and leads the Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Colorectal Cancer Minimally Invasive Technology. Recognized for his expertise, he has been honored as a National Health Commission Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions and acts as the Chief Expert of a National Science and Technology Major Project.
He plays a pivotal role in several leading national medical societies. Within the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA), he is a Council Member and holds key leadership roles, including Vice Chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Professional Committee and Chairman of both the Professional Committee of Robotic Surgery and the Metastasis Research Committee of the Anorectal Branch. In the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), he serves as Vice Chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Expert Committee. He is also a Standing Council Member of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), where he contributes as Vice Chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Professional Committee and the Integrated Colorectal Cancer Committee, as well as the Big Data and Real-World Research Committee, and Chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Integrated Science Popularization Committee. Additionally, he is a Member of the Colorectal Surgery Group under the Surgical Branch of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA).
