
Prof. Yong Sik Yoon, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He serves as the Director of the Asan Robotic Surgery Center, a position he has held since 2020. After earning his M.D., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Ulsan, he completed surgical training and colorectal fellowships at Asan Medical Center, followed by a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (USA).
Prof. Yoon’s clinical and academic focus centers on minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, Crohn’s disease, and complex perianal fistula management. He has published over 220 papers in leading international journals such as Surgical Endoscopy, World Journal of Gastroenterology, and Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis.
A board-certified colorectal surgeon, Prof. Yoon is an active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Korean Society of Coloproctology, contributing extensively to surgical innovation, education, and multicenter research collaborations in advanced robotic and inflammatory bowel disease surgery
